All Audi's I have owned for 35 years have had either crush washer or a flat washer. S8 part listing is: N 0138157 o-ring 14X20 Sometimes they do hang up on the pan or fall into the oil bucket from experience so check both. On my W12, they have discontinued the washer alone and sell it w/ the drain plug--no longer separates easily.
Received 19 Likes on 15 Posts. Looking for advice/thoughts re: oil leaking f/ 2019 Q7. My Q7 was purchased as a CPO with under 6k miles, and it's now sitting at 25.5k miles, on the ODO. It's had three oil changes, all done at the dealership under Audicare. The last oil change was on 7/31/2020 with 23.5k miles on the ODO.
Make sure you loosen the fill plug first as you don't want to drain the oil to find out you can't fill it. I used a length of tygon tubing about 0.5 in OD and snaked it up through the engine bay to fill the transmission. It takes 2.7 litres to fill it, keep filling until the excess oil spills out. The spec on the oil is 75W90, OEM part # G 005 000.

Simply pull down the kick panel underneath the glove box. It is attache with three snaps in the front, and some hook tabs in the back. Remove the panel and disconnnect the light and move it out of your way. The bottom of the condensate pan is right there, and so is the drain tube.

Literally drain and refill and there's no components to remove to get to the drain/fill plugs. You could probably do the rear diff laying on your back without needing to jack it up. The center diff (transfer case) and transmission are more involved and require removing the cross member tunnel and un-doing the exhaust to get to the pan and plugs.

Both the fill plug and the drain plug use the 17mm size, so if you are checking the fluid, or changing the fluid in the transmission - then you will need the hex key / allen wrench. For the oil pan - it's a normal drain plug - like a bolt. Uses something like 19mm just as they said.
