KTM HAS just unveiled its new 1050 Adventure, a V-twin making 95hp.. It joins the 1190, 1190 R and recently unveiled 1290 models in KTM's Adventure range.. If that lineup was starting to look overcrowded, the reason for the latest addition has become clear with its specifications - at 95hp, it's eligible to be restricted for A2 licence holders. Three things I loved about the KTM 1090 R Adventure…. • handling, on- and off-road. • engine – a near perfect balance of power, torque and character. • comfort – all day, genuine 12 hours in the saddle. Three things that I didn’t…. • Styling – it’s not the prettiest thing and the 1290 is better. the only problem I encountered was that the wires of the led lights did not match with the bikes positive so had to switch them (black has to match the brown of the bikes wire harness). I'm pretty sure the 1050 shares the frame with the 1190 and if so, the rear shock bolts directly to the swingarm with no linkage to be able to change.
