I have the same exhaust. Mine was purchased from my BMW dealer and installed before delivery. I think that they are confused about an insert on your 1250 exhaust. I do not see a way to install it. Exhaust is fully riveted on the rear. Mine has a mesh screen/ baffle already inside the tubes.
