The GT's are (surprisingly) affordable too, but that all changes when you get to the Shelby's. Don't worry, though, the money is more than worth it. I am struggling as nothing against V6', but I know myself and I see it here all the time people start beating themselves up wising they had the GT.

Mustang GT '85 vs.'86 Hi all. I have been researching the differences between Mustang GT's from '85 and '86 and am aware that the '86 has a stronger rear, fuel injection as opposed to a holley, 10 less HP, 15 ft-lb more torque and a more restrictive cylinder head.
Ran two 21 GT autos one with 3.15 and the other 3.55 stock and the 3.55 was .08 second faster in quarter mile. If you went from 3.15 to 3.73 you would notice a large difference. In 91-93 both cars had the same wheel. Most 87-89 LX 5.0 hatches and verts have the high back articulated seats like the GTs, but some dont. gt: 2v, 260 hp, most run 14's even with bolts on from what ive seen mach1: 4v 305hp, most run 13's, seen some into 12's with tires, and o/r x, 5speeds dyno 270 to 280ish, autos in the 255 area, very responsive 2 mod, raised hood and shaker.. machs beat some ls1's, gts only dream about it.. just to name a few..
